My roommate said she got red glasses because it matched her red coat. It looked good. It was a good color combination on her. I do not think it is a good color combination on me, at least not right now at this point in time with my current appearance. This was one of my college roommates, by the way.
I like red. It is a little sinister, though. Maybe kind of foreboding. This can be a good or bad thing, like anything else.
